The Library of Virginia hosts various events and programs throughout the year and welcomes community support. Your support and service help ensure the success of our events and programs. Volunteer opportunities are managed in conjunction with the Library’s Foundation Office.
Are you looking to extend your learning outside of the classroom? The Library of Virginia encourages learning and offers paid and unpaid internship opportunities. Unpaid internships are available for academic credit. Internship positions will be available on a less than 180-day period to students 18 years of age or older and enrolled at an accredited college or university.
The opportunities are designed for eligible students in good standing majoring in library science, history, museum studies, archives, marketing/communications, human resources, information technology, and finance. Opportunities are open based on the availability in the following departments.
